The important thing is to understand the context and achieve communication by looking for similar words and cultural elements. What do we have today?

Today we are finishing August so month 8 has passed so we are closer to 2023, but, if you are listening you are interested in Spanish so we have a saying:

"El que sigue la consigue" (He who follows gets it).

Follows and gets? It's a bit like working to reach the goal.

Seguir:  means one thing goes in front another behind, to follow something you are looking for, in short seguir is to follow.

If in that sense to follow to obtain something, an end that you want.

And to achieve?

To obtain something you want, to achieve a goal.- Conseguir

If we conjugate the verb it would be: yo sigo, tú sigues él/sella sigue

I achieve, you achieve, he/she achieves.Yo consigo, tú consigues, él consigue

So, "he who follows gets it" is a good saying. El que sigue la consigue

Related to seguir is the noun or noun: seguimiento, for example, a doctor follows up on a patient, that is, he/she sees how he/she is doing, if the medicine he/she prescribed is working or not, etc.

And a teacher follows up on a student
