We are in 5 minutes of Spanish and this is episode number 118.

Welcome! Thank you for being with us week after week, for your comments, for listening and participating in this family that is Spanish in Cabo. Once again we are going to have an audio all in Spanish and what is our topic today?

In these five minutes of Spanish in the middle of the week we are going to talk about travel vocabulary, what do you think?

I love to travel!  In fact, remember that here together with Spanish in Cabo we have a Travel Agency: Unique trips, we take you all over the world!

And if you go on a trip you have to go to the airport and how is the process?

You buy your ticket, you can go to your trusted travel agency if you want, Unique trips, let's say.

The commercial moment but now for the travel agency, let's continue.

Well, then you check in and present yourself at the counter with your documents, passport if you are traveling abroad or INE or voter card in Mexico, if you are traveling domestically.

Any other documents?

It depends on the country, after the pandemic many countries ask for an affidavit, in which you must say that you feel well, you do not have a cough, you have your vaccinations, etc.

What about luggage or suitcases?

You can take hand luggage or carry-on baggage. You are also allowed another small bag called personal accessory or computer backpack; this must go under your seat.

The larger bag must be checked and picked up upon arrival.

We can ask: What time does the flight leave on Wednesday?

At 9:15 a.m. So, we have to be there?

1 hour and a half before, if it is a domestic flight.

What things are not allowed in the carry-on bag?

And here's a long list that's a great way to practice vocabulary for things like bottles over 100mm; suntan lotion, etc.

After doing this whole check in process, you go through security and you know they check you.

Then you go to customs to show your documents and the exit of the country in the case of traveling abroad. Aduana is customs, it is not convenient to forget it.

Then you go to the gate.

We board the plane, there we sit in the window or aisle, which do you prefer?

The seats can be in economy, executive (business) or first class. First class is the best but it is much more expensive and some airplanes do not have it.

The plane moves to the runway and takes off from there.

During the flight you are assisted by a flight attendant who invites you with drinks and snacks.

In the case of a trip to Puerto Vallarta you do not have a direct flight from Los Cabos, you have to make a stopover or transfer, in this case in CDMX.

When you arrive the plane lands, then you get off and pick up your luggage and you have arrived at your destination!

And, do you like to travel?

You can come to Mexico and practice your Spanish, and if you want to take off in your Spanish click here and you will see how listening to podcasts, watching videos, doing exercises or participating in live workshops on Zoom you will speak like a Latin American.

But, don't take our word for it, come in this Friday 2:00 PM Los Cabos time and hear how those who are already part of SpanishUp2u speak.

If you want to know more about your practice site, click here for your free class and see how you can improve your language skills at SpanishUP2U even if you have little time.

Thank you very much for not leaving aside this Podcast and listen to us until the end.

See you in the classes or workshops, in the cooking and languages experience, 24/7 on SpanishUp2U or next Wednesday.

See you soon

Bye-bye.
