In these 5 minutes of Spanish midweek, we’re going to talk about “cumplir,” which means to carry out or achieve a goal. “Cumplir” comes from the Latin “complere,” which means to complete or fill something. When do we use this verb? It’s a verb that’s used a lot and changes meaning depending on the context in which we use it; we use it in some way almost every day. That’s why we’re going to look at many English verbs that translate to “cumplir” in Spanish: fulfill, meet, comply, accomplish, achieve, obey, follow Wow! So many verbs!
