3 claves para el éxito al estudiar español / 3 tips for success when studying Spanish
¿Les gustaría hablar español con comodidad?
O ¿poder chatear con amigos hispanohablantes con
naturalidad?
O tal vez, ¿pensar o soñar en español?
De acuerdo a nuestra experiencia en Spanish in Cabo los
estudiantes más satisfechos con sus logros son aquellos que cumplen 3
características
1 están
determinados, desde el inicio a dominar el idioma y son consistentes con este objetivo, pero sin
ser demasiado autocríticos. Ser un poquitín cabezón, algunas veces, está bien.
Lo hago porque lo hago y no me para nadie.
2 buscan comunicarse con las palabras que conocen y de forma simple; lo importante es la
comunicación. Siempre encuentran la oportunidad para interactuar y lo hacen con
alegría no importa si no hablan con perfección.
Frases tales como: “siempre fui un estudiante 10, no me
gusta tener menos pues compito conmigo mismo. Siempre tengo 10 en todo. Estas personas tienen el super yo muy
desarrollado. En general son exitosos con doctorados (MBE) y dirigentes de
prósperas empresas pero esto no los ayuda cuando hay que aprender una nueva
lengua.
El hablar utilizamos
la emoción, la sensibilidad, la memoria de la infancia no necesariamente la
lógica. Hay que tratar de estar relajado, dispuesto a equivocarse y aprender de
los errores (no hay mejor escuela) a reírse de sí mismo y a divertirse.
Y si parezco un niño pequeño, y sí ¡qué suerte! Todos
actuamos así cuando estamos comunicándonos en otra lengua y si no lo intentamos
nunca, ¡qué triste! ¿Es que no vivimos en un mundo globalizado?
Tenga siempre presente la frase: lo importante es la
comunicación. Y comuníquese, con las manos, con palabras sencillas y con
algunos recursos tales como: “ tu dices que…..”; mande”; si yo entendí bien lo
que tú dices es…..(repites lo que dice el otro) .
Y, ¿cuál es la tercera cualidad que hay que tener para
dominar el español?
Lo digo con un dicho típico del español: “No debemos tirar
la toalla”
Hay que ser perseverante, siempre se llega si somos constantes,
¿verdad?
Porque “Mañana es nunca” o porque “No dejes para mañana lo
que puedes hacer hoy”

According to our
experience at Spanish in Cabo, the most successful students are those that have
3 characteristics:
1. They are
determined, from the beginning to dominate this language, they are consistent
with this goal, but without being too auto critic. In our opinion, to be a bit
stubborn is sometimes good. “I am going to do it because I am going to do it,
and nobody will stop me”. But you should also sometimes pamper yourself, relax
a bit and be a bit lazy. If we don´t do that who will.
2. They try to
communicate using words they know and in a simple way, the important thing is
communication. They always find the opportunity to interact and they do so with
joy, without caring if they do it perfectly.
To be too
demanding with oneself, hypercritic or perfectionist, when trying to learn a
new language doesn´t help at all. Speaking uses emotion, sensibility, infant memory,
not necessarily logic. You have to try to relax, to be willing to make mistakes
and to learn from them (there is no better school). Let´s laugh at ourselves
and let´s have fun!
Always keep in
mind the phrase: it's all about communication. And communicate, with your
hands, with simple words and with some resources such as:
"you say that...." (you repeat what
the other one says) ;
“Pardon";
if I understood well what you say is....(you
repeat what the other one says) .
And if I sound
like a kid, that´s perfect. We all sound like that when are communicating in a
different language and if we never try, how sad!
I say it with a typical Spanish saying: “No debemos tirar la toalla”
We must not give up
You have to be persistent, you can always get there if you're consistent, right?
Because "Tomorrow is never" or "Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today"
