¡Bienvenidos! Gracias por estar semana a semana junto a nosotros, por los comentarios, por escuchar y participar de este familión, o sea familia muy grande, que es Spanish in Cabo. Otra vez vamos a tener un audio todo en español y, ¿me recuerdas el tema de hoy?

 

En estos cinco minutos de español a la mitad de la semana vamos a reflexionar sobre los aumentativos en español, que los usamos muchísimo.

 

¡Qué originales! El miércoles pasado hablamos un ratito de los diminutivos y hoy hablaremos un ratote de los aumentativos.

 

Los aumentativos, como la palabra lo dice, aumentan o sea agrandan los objetos de los que hablamos.

 

Y también, se usan para dar mayor importancia a ciertas palabras. Nos ayudan a comunicarnos mejor.

 

Vamos a los ejemplos con diálogos en diferentes situaciones:

 

Primero:

Uy este amigo tiene un carrazo del año

Y sí, con el sueldazo que gana se puede comprar cualquier cosa

Sí vive en un caserón….y su mujer tiene un cuerpazo….

 

Carro es un coche con 4 ruedas, puertas, etc y carrazo es un Mercedes espectacular …

 

Sueldo es el salario que ganas por mes o quincena y sueldazo, un gran sueldo.

 

Algunas tenemos un cuerpo y otras ….¡un cuerpapazo!

Una casa puede ser grande o pequeña. Pero un caserón siempre es muy grande. ¿Seguimos?

 

Segundo diálogo:

Ahum (Bostezo)

Bostezar

¿Te acostaste tarde ayer? Se te ve cansado, estas bostezando

Sí, es que miré la película de Alfonso Cuarón, Roma

¿Y qué tal?

Es un peliculón, tienes que verla

 

Tercer diálogo:

Cómo cambió Patricio, ¿verdad?

Te parece, ¿por qué?

Antes era guapetón y ahora tiene una panzota….

¡Qué criticona!, tener un poco de panza es sinónimo de felicidad…..

 

La panza- panzón

Cuarto diálogo:

Tenemos que colgar esta pintura grandota de Bruno Pegoretti

Aquí tienes el martillo y el clavo, ojo no te des un martillazo…

Ayyy

 

Martillo es una herramienta de trabajo para clavar

Martillazo es un golpe en el dedo con el martillo…no muy agradable

 

Y por último un dialogo corto

Uf qué calorón…

Uff, sí,            hace calor en Los Cabos

 

Como viste, los aumentativos generalmente terminan en:

Azo    carrazo

Ón    grandulón o guapetón

Ote   una persona grande es un grandote

Udo  Una persona con mucha suerte, es suertuda

 

En los deportes:

Partido- partidazo

Gol- golazo

Patada – patadón

Codo- codazo             

¿Algún detalle a notar de estos aumentativos?

Sí, son muy libres en su formación, generalmente los vas a escuchar en el lenguaje hablado y por ejemplo_

Una película, es femenino pero, un peliculón.., Ah, cambió de femenino a masculino igual que una muy buena noticia es:  un notición.

Augmentatives, as the word says, increase or enlarge the objects we are talking about.

 

And also, they are used to give more importance to certain words. They help us communicate better.

 

Great car!

Let's go to examples with dialogues in different situations:

 

First:

Wow, this friend has a great car of the year.

And yes, with the huge salary he earns he can buy anything.

Yes, he lives in a big house... and his wife has a great body....

 

A car is a car with 4 wheels, doors, etc. and “carrazo” is a spectacular Mercedes ...

 

Great body at any age

Sueldo is the salary you earn per month or fortnight and sueldazo, a big salary.

 

Some of us have a body and others have a fantastic body ....!

 

A house can be big or small. But a “caserón” is always very big.

“Martillazo” is a blow on the finger with a hammer...not very pleasant.

As you saw, augmentatives generally end in:

Azo – “carrazo”

Ón – “grandulón” or “guapetón”

Ote - a big person is a “grandote”

Udo - a person with a lot of luck, he is “suertudo”

 

In sports:

Partido- “partidazo”

Goal – “golazo”

Kick – “patadón”

Elbow – “codazo”

           

Any details to note about these augmentatives?
