En estos 5 minutos de español a la mitad de la semana vamos a hablar del slang para referirse a los hombres, en el pasado hablamos de las mujeres y hoy de los hombres para que no se ofendan..

Y a nosotros se nos dice: los guapos.

Bueno, a veces son guapos otra vez: el señor panzón o sea que tiene panza.

Y panza en inglés es belly

Guapo- handsome

 

También nos referimos a los hombres como chicos si son jóvenes o chavos o chamacos

Chavo o chavito- boy

Chamaco o chamaquito- boy or little boy.

 

Si viajas por México vas a escuchar estas palabras:

Es un chavo muy inteligente y trabajador.

 

De hecho, hay un programa de TV famoso que se distribuyó por toda América que ahora es comic que se llama: El Chavo del Ocho y su protagonista es el Chavo.

 

Entre amigos o compañeros de trabajo los hombres se refieren a si mismos como: los compas o la banda.

 

Compas viene de compañero, más simple mi compa

 

También entre jóvenes es muy común decir mi carnal, según el Diccionario del Español de México significa aquella persona con la que se tiene una relación de parentesco. Pero se usa con amigos muy cercanos como un hermano: Eres mi carnal  También se usa brother o bro es un anglicismo pero está en los diccionarios de lenguaje informal.

¿Y alguna palabra para hablar de amigo de origen náhuatl?

 

Mi cuate, etimológicamente significa mi gemelo (twin), pero los mexicanos lo usan como amigo cercano, camarada a quien le damos un trato especial. Es una palabra que ya no se usa entre jóvenes.

 

¿Hay otra expresión muy común que se usa sin pensar pero es una grosería?

 

Sí es buey que lo puedes ver escrito como güey o wey.

Significa tonto –sin inteligencia, pero se usa en forma cariñosa con amigos de confianza: ¿Cómo estás güey?

In these 5 minutes of Spanish in the middle of the week we are going to talk about slang to refer to men, in the past we talked about women and today we talk about men so you don't get offended...

And we are called: los guapos.

Well, sometimes they are handsome again: Mr. paunchy, that is to say, he has a belly.

“Mi cuate”, etymologically means my twin, but Mexicans use it as a close friend, a comrade to whom we give special treatment. It is a word that is no longer used among young people.

 

Is there another very common expression that is used without thinking but is rude?
