The verb “to get”, is one of the most versatile verbs in
English, as it can mean many different

obtain, get, arrive, put on, understand, receive, buy and
many more.
Wow, so many uses! Let's look at its main uses

examples in both languages:
It is used when we talk about acquiring something, whether
it is an
object, an opportunity or an experience.
Conseguí un nuevo trabajo. ¿Dónde puedo obtener más
información sobre el curso de español? Finalmente, logré conseguir las entradas
para el concierto. / I got a new job. Where can I get more information about the Spanish course? I
finally managed to get the concert tickets.
Conseguí una
pareja para el baile o Conseguí un nuevo novio o esposo… / I got a date for
the dance or I got a new boyfriend or husband…

When used to refer to getting to a place.
Llegué tarde a casa. ¿A qué hora llegaste a la
