Adiós querido amigo

Spanish in Cabo está muy triste por la muerte de un integrante de Spanish in Cabo, nuestro amigo Klaus Birkel.

Si bien Klaus no estudiaba español, su hermosa esposa Bonnie, es hablante de nuestra lengua. Conocer a Bonnie es igual que conocer a Klaus. Ambos son una combinación inmejorable, como el café con leche, como el tequila y el limón. Un ejemplo de matrimonio inquebrantable, juntos en las buenas y en las malas, un ejemplo de vida.

Y vean que hablamos en presente, pues, sabemos que Klaus, en su espíritu, se las va a arreglar para seguir estando con su amada y también, al menos en los recuerdos, con quienes tuvimos el placer de coincidir con él en este mundo físico.

Gracias Klaus y Bonnie por invitarnos a su casa, compartir tantas hermosas cenas con deliciosos manjares y mejores pláticas. En estos momentos, revivimos esa maravillosas tardes en Casa Sirena, bañadas de recuerdos, postres alemanes de la familia y chocolates.

Gracias Klaus por tus consejos sobre negocios, con esa capacidad, que solo tienen los grandes, de salvar las abismales diferencias económicas y culturales.

Gracias por tu sonrisa, tu abrazo y tú “hola amiga/o”.

Por el amor con el que mirabas a Bonnie, ¡es algo inolvidable!

Gracias por compartir tantos momentos juntos en Casa Sirena y en nuestra casa.

Por invitarnos al Club House de Querencia a ver la final de la copa Mundial Alemania – Argentina, aunque sabías, que le íbamos a Argentina.

Gracias por tus libros. Spanish in Cabo tiene el honor de tener varios valiosos libros en inglés y alemán, que pertenecen a Klaus, los pone a disposición de quien quiera leerlos.

Gracias por el cariño con el que trataste a la mamá de Eduardo con sus 90 años ¡Cómo conversaron! Demostrando que la comunicación va más allá de las palabras, pues Elsa no hablaba inglés y mucho menos alemán.

Gracias por elegir México como tu casa y coincidir con nosotros.

At Spanish in Cabo, we mourn the loss of our friend, Klaus Birkel.

Although Klaus did not study Spanish, his beautiful wife Bonnie, is a speaker of our Language. To meet Bonnie is the same as meeting Klaus. Both are an unbeatable combination, like coffee and milk, like tequila and lemon. An example of an unwavering marriage, together in good and bad times, an example of life.

See that we speak in the present, as we know that Klaus, in spirit, is going to manage to be with his beloved and, at least in our memories, with all the ones that have had the pleasure to coincide with him in this physical world.

Thank you Klaus and Bonnie for inviting us into your house, for sharing so many beautiful dinners with delicious meals and better talks. At this moment, we remember those wonderful afternoons at Casa Sirena, full of memories, family German desserts and chocolates.

Thank you Klaus for your business advice, with the ability that only the great ones have to be able to solve the abysmal economic and cultural differences.

Thank you for your smile, your hug and your “hola amiga/o”.

For the love in your eyes when you were looking at Bonnie. It is something unforgettable!

Thank you for the affection with which you received Eduardo´s mum in her 90´s at your house for dinner. What a talk! Showing that communication is beyond words because Elsa didn´t speak English and much less German.
