Muchas veces la Iglesia, que actuaba junto al Absolutismo difundió, sin querer, las ideas revolucionarias ¿Por qué ocurrió esto?
Porque había censura y todo el material dudoso, se
descartaba, pero no lo quemaban (gracias a Dios) permanecía en monasterios, en las
bibliotecas de los sacerdotes. Por eso Morelos, que era sacerdote los leyó y
también Artigas (héroe del Río de la Plata) leyó a Rousseau y Franklin, mientras se recuperaba de una enfermedad en
casa de un tío sacerdote.
Estas son curiosidades de la historia, actualmente, por la
influencia oriental, lo llamamos Karma.
La Iglesia que quiso apoyar al absolutismo, difundió sin querer, las ideas
liberales.
La Iglesia Católica siempre tuvo un ala no conservadora, incluso muy social, ellos se solidarizaron con los indígenas y con los pobres, pero eran minoría y no era la Iglesia dominante. La Iglesia Católica era un fuerte del rey absoluto, por eso se habla de la unión del cetro y la espada. De todas maneras, en sus bibliotecas se guradó ese pensamiento tan valioso.
